BIG NAMES ON BOARD FOR THE PROPERTY BUYER SHOW IN CAPE TOWN

The Property Buyer Show, a first of its kind exhibition taking place in April at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, has attracted big names as sponsors giving first-time home buyers and property investors a comprehensive understanding of everything involved in purchasing a property.

“We are very proud to announce that some of the biggest names in the property industry have partnered as sponsors for the show,” says Richard Stubbs, Event Director at Spintelligent, Clarion Events. “These include First National Bank, Pam Golding Properties, Standard Bank, Nedbank, Private Property and property developers Balwin Properties to mention a few.”

First National Bank is sponsoring the Finance Zone. “At the Property Buyer Show we will be showcasing our digital solution called nav» Home which is available online and on the FNB APP. This platform aims to help customers navigate through the home buying and selling journey with ease – from free instant value estimates, instant pre-approvals, property for sale  searches, monthly repayment and qualifying loan amount calculators to name a few. In addition, our home loan consultants and Private Bankers will be available at the stand to engage with customers about the various funding options irrespective whether you are a first time home buyer or multiple property investment buyer,” says nav›› Chief Imagineer (CEO), Jolandé Duvenage.

Pam Golding Properties, who are sponsoring the Property Investor Theatre, offer a full spectrum of property services for first-time buyers as well as the property investor looking to diversify their portfolio, says Pam Golding Properties National General Manager and Cape Regional Head, Richard Day. This expo affords PGP the opportunity to engage directly with buyers and investors in an innovative space, to provide information and guidance on all aspects of selling, buying or renting property, and to highlight new developments. “While the digital environment means that information is often a mouse click away, most people still want face-to-face advice and guidance from someone who specialises in their area of interest. Our area specialists will be available during the expo to interact with potential buyers and investors.”

Standard Bank is the official sponsor of the First-Time Buyer Theatre, where first-time home buyers will be able to hear property experts giving advice on all of the ins and outs of buying your first home. “We chose to get involved with the Property Buyer Show as we felt it fits in line with our purpose of improving lives and fulfilling aspirations through home ownership for all in South Africa,” says Andrew van der Hoven of Standard Bank South Africa.

Balwin Properties have broken the mould with their new lifestyle centred developments in Johannesburg, Pretoria and the Western Cape, with each development becoming more and more lifestyle focused and getting bigger and better with each new luxury development. “As leaders in the high-density sectional title market for the past 21 years, Balwin Properties would like to use this opportunity to showcase the residential developments we have to offer the market,” says Armand Botes from Balwin Properties. “Our product is the perfect combination of, secure estates, quality luxury finishes, sustainable development, innovative utility solutions, a desired lifestyle with state of the art lifestyle centres and unrivalled after sales service.”
Nedbank will also be represented at the show. “Nedbank is delighted to form part of the Property Buyer Expo. This is testament to the growing need for home ownership in South Africa,” says Tim Akinnusi, Head of Sales and Client Management at Nedbank Home Loans. “The Property Buyer Expo provides a unique opportunity for us as Nedbank to engage with potential home buyers in their journey of home ownership and empower them with the necessary tools and information so that their journey is seamless.”
Private Property are exhibiting their portal services and will be bringing their brand to life with an interactive exhibition stand. “Around 90% of property searches begin online on property websites like Private Property, and a large proportion of these are by first-time buyers. An online platform like ours is the ideal starting point for buyers since they can view a wide selection of stock from agents, developers, banks and private sellers, research the market and access useful advice,” says Sue Clarke, Marketing and Media Manager for PrivateProperty.co.za. “We’re excited to be involved with the show and look forward to meeting the public and showing them just how useful our site can be to them.”

The show, which will take place from 8 to 9 April at the Cape Town International Convention Centre, aims to create a transactional platform for buyers to engage with the residential property sector, showcasing the latest developments within the Western Cape, while at the same time educating and informing property investors about building wealth through a property portfolio with a series of seminars and workshops presented by successful investors and property thought leaders. “Our goal with the show is to provide a one-stop shop where all property buyers can efficiently compare property options and make informed decisions,” says Richard.
